Ghana is described as a country with impressive growth & fortunes, rich in history and culture, political stability with a friendly and warm environment, respect for the rule of law, Good governance and policies for private investment and growth among others.

Sweden represents a leading nation with a unique position of proven Knowledge in technology, Products and services in sectors that include Telecommunication, information Communication and Technology (ICT), clean technology, mining and construction equipment.


Ghana Sweden Bilateral relationship especially in trade began about 350 years ago when Swedish Africa built the first trading post at Cape Coast in 1653.

Some notable Swedish companies have had a strong presence in Ghana and contributing tremendously to the economic development of the Country. For example Errikson’s impact on the telecommunication industry and Scania in the transport industry is worth the mention. Ghana on the other hand is considered Sweden’s third largest trade partner in Sub Saharan Africa.

This bilateral relationship was further strengthened by the visit of the Crown Princess, Princess Victoria to Ghana a few years ago where she pledged her support in the renewable energy sector.

The Ghana-Sweden Chamber of Commerce Ltd. is a registered limited liability company under the Ghana Companies Act, 1963, Act 179 since May 2014. Our primary objective is to promote Commercial, Economic, Educational and Cultural relations between the Republic of Ghana and Sweden.  With representation both in Ghana and Sweden, we offer services to businesses established or aiming to do business in Ghana and Sweden.

A major priority is to help Swedish businesses to find the right network, ease and expedite business transactions in Ghana. We also help Ghanaian businesses wanting to enter the Swedish market with the right contacts. Our management team has expereince of both cultures. Members are offered periodical updates of developments in both countries and specific services are offered on request.
